Because of the unique design of the hand peeling on this log tv stand, it comes stained and varnished. The logs have more bark on them to create a unique contrasting look. Built of solid pine and rustic log trim this stand or chest will last for many years. Drawers are on heavy duty, epoxy coated steel drawer slides, making them robust and  perfect for games and consoles.
We choose to work with
lodgepole pine
as it grows naturally in the forests of NW montana and is known for its superior strength to weight ratio. It is also straighter, thus making it easier to work the raw wood into the highest quality furniture possible. Our lodge pole pine is harvested in the Kootenai National Forest via a very selective process. Skilled woodsmen select each tree with an attentive eye toward the quality, straightness and size of each specimen. After felling, each piece is hand carried to the road to ensure both the tree and the environment remain unharmed. Then each log is hand peeled, using the skip-peel method where some of the inner bark is left on, creating a beautiful rustic piece of furniture for your home, lodge or cabin.
These are made at the amish woodworking shop in Montana and get shipped directly from the shop to your home - with free shipping. No need to assemble anything.
